Holidays in Disneyland Paris are among Europe’s top attractions, and a truly magical experience for both kids and the young at heart. Located 32km east of Paris in Marne-la-Vallée, Disneyland Resort Paris has three iconic theme parks - Disneyland Park, Walt Disney Studios and Disney Village. Younger kids will love meeting Disney characters and the fun-filled rides in Fantasyland, while older ones will be thrilled by the adrenalin hit of rides like Pirates of the Caribbean in Adventureland and Buzz Lightyear’s Laser Blast in Discoveryland. Also waiting to be discovered on Disneyland Paris holidays is Mickey’s Café and Buffalo Bill’s live Wild West show. Spend a day taking in the unforgettable highlights or spend an extended weekend exploring the resort.

Disneyland Park

Disneyland Park is divided into five 'lands' that are home to a host of rides, parades, shops and restaurants. Check out Main Street USA, where you can view the Disney Magic Parade from the bandstand, shop for souvenirs and watch the steam train chug through the park at Main Street Station. In Frontierland, inspired by the Wild West, the spotlight is on Big Thunder Mountain, a towering red rock with a rollercoaster spiralling across it. There’s also spooky Phantom Manor and the Pocahontas Indian Village, which has a play area for little ones. In Adventureland, buckle up tight on the exhilarating Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril ride or take the Pirates of the Caribbean cruise by firelight. Frontierland also has playgrounds for kids, such as Adventure Isle and Pirate’s Beach.  Check out Fantasyland for gentler rides for younger kids and they'll love the iconic Sleeping Beauty castle, underneath which lies The Lair of the Dragon and Peter Pan’s Flight across London to Never-Never Land. Futuristic Discoveryland is perfect for older kids - hurtle around bends at high-speed on Space Mountain, shoot down the bad guys with laser guns at Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast or race a car around the track at Autopia.

Walt Disney Studios Park

If you’re enjoying a family holiday in Disneyland Paris, don’t miss the live shows at Walt Disney Studios Park, such as Animagique, Stitch and the Cars Stunt Show. The park is divided into four zones with loads of rides waiting to be discovered. Enter through the Front Lot, to a grand welcome by the Sorcerer’s Apprentice fountain, and stroll down a grand replica of the 1940s Hollywood Boulevard. The animation at Toon Studio is great for little kids, with the popular Toy Story Playland and Crush’s Coaster, inspired by Finding Nemo, on offer. The Production Courtyard hosts daily shows, all packed with special effects, like the CinéMagique tribute to 100 years of cinema. Take the Studio Tram Tour to get a peek at movie sets, costumes and props. At the Back Lot, kids get to ride the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster, the fastest in Disneyland Paris at 60mph. There’s also the live-action Stunt Show Spectacular, where the whole family can see how film stunts were set up in Cars.

Disney Village

Holidays to Disneyland Paris are incomplete without a trip to Disney Village, where the family can check out restaurants, a sports bar, games arcade, the movie complex and do some shopping, while being entertained with live shows. Explore boutiques, buy souvenirs, toys and sweets. The village also houses four Disneyland hotels, positioned around a beautiful lake.

Food and Fun in Disneyland

There are several great dining options at Disneyland Paris for families. Check out Adventureland’s Moroccan-themed Agrabah Café, the French Bistrot Chez Rémy in Walt Disney Studios Park, inspired by the film Ratatouille. For a Fifties-style diner, with staff serving you on rollerskates, head for Annette’s Diner in Disney Village. If you’re in the mood for a spa treatment, drop in to the Celestia Spa at the Disneyland Hotel, for facials and hot stone massages. For romance-seekers enjoy some couple time with a stroll around the parks, a sunny ride on the Thunder Mesa steam paddleboat, or sip cocktails under the stars.
