The city of love needs no introduction and as a capital synonymous with fashion, art and romance, there's certainly plenty to fall for. Holidays to Paris should be ticked off everyone's bucket list and whether you want to indulge in the city's spectacular shopping scene, see the iconic landmarks including the Louvre, Notre Dame and the spectacular Eiffel Tower, enjoy romantic strolls along the Seine or devour croissants, croque monsieurs and coq au vin in stunning eateries, Paris oozes glamour. Captivating at Christmas, stunning in spring, smouldering in summer and awe-inspiring in autumn, Paris holidays are full of romance and pulsate with the very latest in dining, fashion and culture all year round.

Paris can be visited any time of year depending on the type of holiday you want, however, June to August is prime time when this city of romance is spectacularly sunny. The temperature during these months is just about perfect whether you're wandering the streets or soaking up the sun in the city's park, with average highs of 22°C. If you're looking for a budget-friendly break with less crowds though, plan your trip during the fall. For unbeatable views of the city, visit the Bascilla of the Sacred Heart of Paris, or the Sacre-Coeur, which sits pretty on a hilltop in Montmartre – a 5-minute walk to the famous Moulin Rouge. The historic district of Le Marais offers yet another side to the city, with different architecture with crooked medieval lanes, designer shops and a hip Jewish Quarter.

Roissy Charles de Gaulle (CDG) at 30km from the city centre, is the nearest international airport while Orly is next on the list. If you're looking for low-cost airlines, try Paris Beauvais Airport. With flights a little over an hour from the UK, it's easier than ever to say 'bonjour' to this enchanting capital.
