Calella is a small, sunny town on the Costa Maresme and a great pick for relaxing holidays. Just 50 km north of Barcelona, this buzzing seaside resort is located between the coastlines of the Costa Dorada and Costa Brava. Calella is well-connected by air, with Barcelona and Girona its nearest airports. Its picturesque old quarter nestles close to three Blue Flag golden, sandy beaches and a bustling town centre. The town has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with countless seafront bars, restaurants and clubs and an authentic feel, making holidays in Calella even more memorable.
With balmy weather from early spring to November, the resort is popular with those in the know wanting to escape grey skies! Calella holidays can be as adventurous or chilled as you like – the 3km stretch of powder-soft sands are spotlessly clean and offer the perfect opportunity for beachcombers to top up their tan or indulge in almost every watersport imaginable, including parasailing and water skiing. Those travelling with kids won’t run out of things to do in Calella as the resort is in proximity to a number of theme parks and water parks, including Marineland, Port Aventura and Water World.
