Getting Around

As Calella is located in between Barcelona and Girona, both these airports are good options and it’s easy to arrange car hire or a taxi from both. Barcelona's Airport Train is also a popular way of getting to the resort. Calella is a big town but if you book a central hotel you should be within walking distance of the beach, promenade and old town. If not, it’s easy to book a taxi.

The Grand Golden Coastline

Calella’s three beaches blend into one 3-kilometre expanse – Garbi, Les Roques and Gran Playa. These beaches are beautiful and a popular choice with holidaymakers during the summer. Their Blue Flag status means the bustling vibe doesn’t come at the expense of clean sands and clear waters. The main beach, Gran Playa, is known for its volleyball scene and great choice of watersports.

Time for a Drink

Calella has a sparkling nightlife with something for everyone. If you're looking for relaxed evenings then head straight to the beach cafés and restaurants, but for those looking for a livelier night on the town you'll find discos and clubs, too. During the summer there are many Spanish fiestas to enjoy.
