Getting Around
The best way of exploring Milan is on foot, especially if you’re staying in the centre. However, public transport is available, and very easy to make use of, if you do want to take the weight off, including taxis, buses, trams, a suburban rail link and the subway. Bike rental is also very popular. Driving is fine if you’re hoping to explore the surrounding countryside, but best avoided if you’re staying central.

Catwalk veterans including Armani, Versace and Prada grace Milan’s top shopping streets, and while you may need to flash the plastic to afford a single shoe (let alone a pair), browsing the flagship stores is a must do.
