Rhodes Town is the capital city of the island of Rhodes. Situated on the northeastern coast of the island, the town is known for its numerous historical landmarks, stunning beaches and warm cosmopolitan vibe. Rhodes Town holidays boasts a typical Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters, making it an ideal destination for summer holidays. History fans can feast their eyes on the incredible architecture this dreamy Dodecanese Island offers, from the gothic Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes, the serene cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi and the grand architectural marvels of Florestano Di Fausto, including Palazzo del Governo and the Evangelismos church - not to mention the terracotta-topped buildings, timeless harbour's and Byzantine churches to admire. Hop between resorts and take advantage of the island's diversity, from ancient old towns and must-see relics to sun-kissed beaches and upbeat nightlife.

Rhodes has a host of beautiful beaches suited to all types of sun-worshipper, from Blue Flag stretches fringed with watersports activities to sleepy bays away from the hustle and bustle. Faliraki beach serves up lashings of fun with buzzing bars and restaurants backing the sands and a string of activities including parasailing and jet-ski hire. Agathi beach and Kalithea beach are much quieter stretches, with sun-loungers, snack huts and even remains of Roman architecture. In the evenings, indulge in fantastic Greek cuisine at restaurants such as Romeo or Rustico, both located in Town before heading to lively Bar Street for after-sun cocktails. Holidays to Rhodes is no doubt the perfect way to welcome the summer with friends and family.

    Experience a Hammam

    Experience a Hammam

While Rhodes is a Greek island, it’s actually closer to Turkey, so if you want to experience a traditional Turkish massage and Hammam you can do so here. You'll find Turkish Baths at Platia Arionos, but note that days alternate between men and women, so make sure you know what day is right for you to save any surprises!

    Rhodes Town Tavernas

    Rhodes Town Tavernas

There are plenty of authentic tavernas in the old town where you can take a seat and enjoy a traditional Greek meze. Whether it's stuffed aubergine or souvlaki that tickles your tastebuds, Greek food is some of the tastiest in Europe. Try Nireas on Sofokleous or Kerasma on Leontos for Greek ingredients served in a contemporary way.
