Laid-back Lindos is a jewel in Rhodes’ crown, radiating traditional charm, pretty beaches and candy-coloured villages - perfect for those dreaming of relaxing Greece holidays. This national treasure is jam-packed with quaint hilltop houses, sweeping bays and ancient sites, including the famous Acropolis, offering plenty of variety when it comes to things to see and do on Lindos holidays.
Pallas and St. Pauls are the town's two beautiful beaches, stocked with sunbeds, watersports, a natural harbour, glass bottom boat trips and a string of nearby cafes and bars. Lindos holidays make a great base for family-friendly day trips too, the island's cultural capital of Rhodes Town is an hour's drive away where boutiques and cafés sit alongside 14th Century relics, galleries and pretty shaded squares. If you want to see more of the surrounding island by boat, sail over to Agathi beach where you can snorkel in the shallow waters and grab a spot of lunch. Get lost in the village's winding alleyways and admire the traditional captain's houses with their grand front doors and potter in and out of the quaint souvenir shops.
In the evening, wine and dine with beautiful vistas of the Aegean Sea in the beachfront Kyma Restaurant or Melenos Lindos Hotel where you can expect spectacular dishes such as soupiorizo (squid risotto), colourful Greek salads, spicy meatballs and plenty of fresh seafood. The best time to go on holidays to Lindos is during early autumn. September, October and November experience pleasant weather, but visit any later and the weather starts to get wetter. Diagoras Airport is the nearest airport to Lindos, at a distance of 35km from the town. Grab a spectacular deal and getaway to this gorgeous Greek isle.
