Mykonos holidays are the new byword in luxury Greek getaways. The beauty of this island is almost out of this world and with fantastic deals to beautiful hotels, family friendly resorts and secret gems, this dazzling spot in the Aegean is what summers are made for. The Greek island also offer miles of dazzling beaches, luxury cruises and pretty villages filled with beach bars and cafés that dot the whitewashed landscape. Holidays in Mykonos are perfect for sunworshippers and water babies, as you can go diving, windsurfing, jet-skiing or sailing in the warm waters. July and August are the busy seasons at this St Tropez-meets-Ibiza style resort, with the party-hearty crowd flowing in. Visit outside of peak season and you can soak up the more chilled vibe on the beaches and streets - though there are still alfresco restaurants and bars to enjoy with buzzing atmospheres from early spring to later October. Wander along the cobbled streets of Chora, shop for designer labels and keepsakes, or watch the sunset from Little Venice – holidays in Mykonos cater to everyone’s tastes.
Hit the Mykonos beaches
There’s a beach for every mood in Mykonos. If you want to dance all night, head to Paradise and Super Paradise beaches, where the bars and clubs will keep you dancing till the early hours. Soak up the sun on the blonde beach of Platis Yalós, enjoy some solitude on the northern coast in Ayia Ánna, Houlákia or Ayios Stéfanos. If you're travelling with the fam, take the kids to play on the golden sands of Kalo Livaldi, a 10-km drive from town.
Spend time in Chora’s Little Venice
There’s loads to do in the Mykonos capital Chora, where you can sip on a drink at the harbour or take a photo by the famous windmills that stand tall against a blue sky. If you’re looking for a romantic vibe, go to the scenic Little Venice on the edge of the sea in Chora, and enjoy a drink on a colourful balcony overlooking the sea. There are also chic boutiques and souvenir shops if you're looking to bring back some Greek trinkets. For a dose of culture, check out the charming folk museum and the beautiful white-washed Church of Panagia Paraportiani. As night falls, the action in bars and nightclubs gets livelier.

Mykonos holidays are ideal for watersports enthusiasts. Go windsurfing at Kalafatis beach, or if you want a prior coaching, get some lessons here or at the beaches of Kórfos or Meyáli Ámmos. Discover Mykonos on a boat and dive into the warm waters to swim or snorkel near secluded coves. You can also head to Plaka on the nearby island of Naxos, for some knee-boarding and stand-up paddling.
Vibrant Mykonos nightlife
Mykonos, famously known as the Ibiza of Greece, knows how to party in style. The popular bars include Mykonos Bar, where you can sway to Greek music, or the buzzing Paradise Club on the beach.
