Getting Around

Tenerife is easy to navigate with a range of transport readily available here. The public buses are a cheap way for visitors to explore the island, but most holidaymakers tend to use taxis and hire cars as they offer that extra flexibility during your stay. There are numerous cycling and hiking trails for the more adventurous or daily boat services hopping between each island too.

Heraklion's Beaches

Crete is home to a plethora of quaint bays, pretty seaside villages and great beaches. You can pose in the bars or on the sands of action-packed Malia Central beach or hang out on bustling Hersonissos beach. Alternatively, escape to the tiny island of Dia in the Heraklion Gulf to luxuriate in the peace and quiet and take a swim in the bay. Or try the sandy beach in the charming resort of Gouvas.

Traditional Greece

The resorts of Gouves and Kokkini Hani tick all the boxes for traditional Greek architecture. You'll get your fix of history and culture here with iconic sites and landmarks to snap, mix this with modern tourist must-haves including bars, restaurants and quality accommodation and make a day (or two) of it! Don’t miss Heraklion Old Town and the Bronze Age Palace of Knossos on its outskirts.
