Everything you could want and more from a summer day out is available on Paralia Georgioupolis. The resorts sandy Blue Flag beach is a major draw, which stretches for a whopping 10km (so you’re sure to find a spot to sunbathe on), with fun-tastic watersports activities and sun loungers available to relax on. Paralia Georgioupolis begins at the small church of Agios Nikolaos, on the jetty built to link the church to the land, and extends to Episkopi and Petres.
Charming Village
If local culture is your soft spot when it comes to summer holidays, Georgioupolis won’t disappoint. When you’re not lounging on the sandy beach, spend an afternoon wandering this pretty village and admire all that it has to offer. The picturesque harbour is located inside The River Almyros, which just before it meets the town, forms a little lake home to many birds.
