Hit the Sidari beach

One of nearly 300 villages on the island, Sidari has many bays and small beaches waiting to be discovered around the area, including Sunset Beach or Logas in Peroulades. The main beach has a Blue Flag status, but there are also smaller stretches to the east and west of the main beach. Stretch out on the sands and soak up the Greek sunshine anytime of the year. Get active with some scuba diving, parasailing or take a pedalo or banana boat out to sea. If you’re feeling adventurous, try a speedboat!

Day trips from Sidari

Take a one-hour ferry ride to visit the sandy beach of Erikoussa, an unspoiled, tranquil island - and you may encounter some friendly dolphins along the way. Pack a picnic and enjoy it here in the gorgeous sunshine. You could take a short drive to the lovely beaches of Roda and Acharavi. A ferry also brings you to the Diapontia Islands and the coves of Mathraki.

Party till late hours

There are a variety of entertainment options in Sidari, with karaoke, magic shows and film screenings. If you’re lucky, you might catch the typical Greek plate-smashing dance routine in one of the bars. The main nightlife in Sidari is centred around the strip that hugs the coastline. Savour traditional Greek and international cuisine at restaurants and taverns that are open till late. Drop in at Calypso, a café that transforms into a party venue – complete with a dance floor – in the evening as lights dim.

Swim along the Canal d’Amour

If you’re in Sidari, don’t forget to swim in the Channel of Love, locally known as Canal d’Amour. Located at the base of a cliff, this small beach is accessible by ladders and small paths (and, therefore not advisable for small children). As the lore goes, anybody who swims here is bound to meet their soulmate, but even if that’s not on your agenda, come here to be for the spectacular sight of the caves under the canal. After exploring, relax on one of the many beaches nearby.
