Argassi is one of Zante’s oldest seaside resort towns, located between Zante Town and the Vassilikos Peninsula, on the east coast of Zakynthos island. Take a boat trip to Smugglers Cove (the island’s most photographed beach), grab your hiking boots and explore the hilly coastal trails, enjoy a spot of retail therapy on Argassi’s main street, and indulge in the fantastic Greek food. Some of the best tavernas can be found along the main street, but it’s worth checking for those that are hidden away too – these family-run eateries serve incredible homemade dishes and usually aren’t as busy as those in the centre. After dinner, there are a few lively bars open for you to can grab a drink in.
