There are many transport companies available ready to take you to different destinations around the resort. Hire a car if you wish to explore at your own pace or taxis and other public transport is available.
Blue Flag Beaches
The beach at Puerto de Santiago may be on the small side but boasts beautiful views of the hills and striking black volcanic sand. The mighty Atlantic Ocean is a sight to behold but must be respected as the waves and currents can get strong! A flag system is in place so it’s important to get familiar with it to enjoy the water safely. The highly popular Playa la Arena is a short walk away, so if you fancy a change of pace take your towel and enjoy the atmosphere on the neighbouring beach there. Renowned for being clear and clean, this cosy yet beautiful beach has been awarded a Blue Flag.

While the southern part of Tenerife is known for its party atmosphere, Puerto de Santiago is definitely more on the quiet side.
