Nicknamed the ‘Little Venice’ of Gran Canaria, the pretty fishing town of Puerto Mogan oozes character and charm. The gorgeous golden beach is the resort's main attraction and is sheltered by rugged cliffs. A great place for family holidays, its pretty promenade is lined with waterfront restaurants and cafes, with watersports equipment also available for hire. Puerto Mogan holidays are certainly picturesque – Italian-style footbridges criss-cross over the winding canals in the traffic free centre and there is a stylish harbour nearby where you can watch the yachts bobbing on the water. Once you've relaxed on the beach and tried your hand at the watersports, head over to neighbouring Las Palmas, just an hour's drive away, for shopping and sightseeing. With balmy temperatures all year round, holidays in Puerto Mogan are perfect whenever you fancy escaping to a stylish retreat in the sun.
The nightlife in Puerto Mogan is one of its main attraction. There is a wide range of excellent restaurants and lively bars to choose from, especially in the marina and beach areas of Mogan. From Indian, German and Chinese restaurants to the Canarian bars where holidaymakers can try an excellent selection of tapas and salads. If you are looking for a party scene venture to one of the neighbouring resorts like Puerto Rico or Playa del Ingles, just a few minutes’ drive away from Puerto Mongo.
The nearest airport from Puerto Mogan is Gran Canaria – Las Palmas Airport, from where holidaymakers can hire a taxi or take a shuttle or bus service to Puerto Mogan directly.
