Getting Around

Fuerteventura is easy to navigate with a range of public transport on offer. Taxis and transfer options are plentiful from the airport. Cycling is popular around the island and there are trails all around the coast. Day trip and tour buses are usually air conditioned. The smaller, local buses are less reliable and it is advisable to check for an up to date schedule at the tourist office.

All the main car hire firms operate on the island. The island’s main roads are easy to navigate and well looked after; the smaller roads can be a little more challenging. Driving is on the left.
