Getting Around

The popular resort of Santa Ponsa is just a 30-minute drive from the Son Sant Joan International airport in Palma. Many visitors pre-book a hire car to take them to their hotel or you can hop in one of the taxis from the ranks outside. You can also walk and explore easily. Regular boat trips run along the south-west coast for those that want to explore further afield.

Playa Santa Ponsa Beach


Playa Santa Ponsa is the main beach of the town, famous for its wide expanse of soft white sands. |f you're looking for a romantic evening, take your partner for a sunset stroll and check out the seafront bars and cafés.

If you're after a calmer, less crowded beach, head towards the marina and you'll come across a quieter stretch known as Little Beach. The resort is great for families and groups alike.

Palma's Shopping Scene


Santa Ponsa has a variety of gift and souvenir shops to explore. If you want designer stores, Palma dishes out a wide range of high-end shops, boutiques and a daily craft market.

There's also a market held every Wednesday at Puerto Andratx selling some wonderful local produce. Once you've browsed the stalls take a stroll around it's pretty port.
