The resort of C’an Pastilla is based east of the Bay of Palma, on the beautiful Spanish island of Majorca. It’s very close to the capital, Palma, which is just a short drive away. The resort is relaxed and is ideal for families and those who like laid-back holidays.
A very popular resort on the coast, C’an Pastilla was developed from a fishing village into a blossoming tourist spot. Days spent on one of the two sandy beaches can be as active or lazy as you wish, and with Playa de Palma’s Blue Flag beach stretching for three miles, you’ll have plenty of space on the sand. When you’re not sun-soaking, organise day trips, wander the labyrinth of this coastal town’s streets, or for a change of pace, spend a day in the authentic capital of Palma. Culture lovers can visit the famous Bellver Castle – a 14th century fortress which is a prime example of the resort’s historic architecture – while water lovers can take to the Med with exciting surfing, scuba diving, and boat excursions; which is also a great way of exploring hidden coves and bays.
If you’ve got the kids in tow, there are also splash-tastic waterparks nearby too. Foodies can indulge in some of Spain’s delicious cuisine, from the fresh seafood paella to the local market stall delicacies, plus you’ll find lively bars and cocktail lounges dotting the city centre.

Getting Around
The best way of getting around Alcudia, especially the Old Town, is by foot. If you want to venture a little further from the resort, hiring a car provides you with the most flexibility, while bicycles are also available. Bus routes are good, with frequent services, but can get very full on market days.
Get Aquatic
There’s a long sandy beach in C’an Pastilla, ideal for working on your tan, building sandcastles with the kids and taking a dip in the sea. You can spend the day splashing around in the Med or booking in some exciting watersports. With a few waterparks in the vicinity you can enjoy a day away from the sea and slip and slide instead! If you wish to see the sea creatures up close and personal, head over to the aquarium which will give you amazing insight into underwater life.
Let's Go To The Beach
The beach at C’an Pastilla boasts glorious golden sand where you can lay all day and look up at the clear blue Majorcan sky. Many watersports are available to be booked so you can keep active while working on that tan. The pretty promenade has many bars and restaurants where you can indulge in post beach treats. There are many neighbouring beaches and resorts all on the Bay of Palma that you can visit if you want to get your fill of sands while you’re here.
Explore The Old Town
C’an Pastilla used to be a quaint fishing village but grew into a beach resort after a boom of tourism in the 1960s. It hasn’t much grown in size, making it easy to explore the main avenue, charming side streets and maritime architecture. The picturesque harbour and the local maritime club are also a great place to go sightseeing when on holiday in C’an Pastilla. Take a walk along the promenade which leads to the neighbouring resort of Arenal. Open air huts called ‘Balnearios’ serve drinks and snacks and are also a popular thing to see in the area if you want to stop for refreshments. With Palma being so close by you can always book a day trip to the capital.
Try The Local Cuisine
Sometimes the thing we remember most about our holidays is the food, and C’an Pastilla has many wonderful restaurants catering to all sorts of tastes. If you’re into fine dining, you won’t be disappointed with a choice of fancy establishments to visit. Try some local Spanish cuisine, where the fresh seafood is an absolute must. For those who fancy a spot of Italian you can get pizza and pasta of your choice, or sometimes only steak will do – wherever you venture this resort is sure to cater to your fancy.
