Sitting on the east coast of Majorca, between the resorts of Cala D’Or and Cala Millor, Cales de Mallorca makes a perfect base for a sunshine holiday. Sit back and soak up the Balearic sunshine on a trio of beaches – Cala Antena, Cala Domingos Petit and Cala Domingos Gran – all of which can be reached by a road train. This scenic Majorcan resort is around 70km from the Palma de Mallorca airport, and can be best enjoyed during summers (June-August) when the temperatures reach up to 30°C, thanks to its Mediterranean climate.
With a plethora of things to do on your holidays to Calas de Mallorca, you’ll be spoilt for choice! The golden sands and azure waters of the Cala Domingos Gran beach make it an ideal spot for swimming or indulging in water sports. If you want tranquillity, head to the scenic Cala S’Almonia cove backed by limestone cliffs. Golfing enthusiasts can drive to the nearby Vall d’Or golf course, or if you love the sea, hop on a boat cruise at Cala D’Or. Those travelling with kids can visit the nearest waterpark Aqualand El Arenal, Majorca’s biggest water park. For attractions nearby, visit Cala D’Or and Cala Millor, or party till dawn at Magaluf, which is almost 1.5 hour-drive from Calas de Mallorca. If you want to kick back and unwind, walk along the resort’s promenade and enjoy stunning views of the Mediterranean.
