An hour's drive from Cala D’Or is the island’s cool capital, Palma de Mallorca. This stylish city makes a great excursion, a mix of culture and attractions, exotic beaches and bustling nightlife. Palma has some of Spain's best museums, shops and nightlife. It's also a stone's throw from great beaches and a huge marina where you can take boat trips around the island. Retail addicts should head for Jaume III – Palma’s version of Bond Street –  and home to designer outlets, whilst food lovers can head to the city marina to explore the city’s diverse restaurant scene.
