Getting Around

Due to the efficiency of the public transport, it's rarely worth taking a more expensive taxi. Car hire is also widely available in towns, cities and airports.

Travelling by bus or car

Most German towns have their own reliable bus and train services. In big cities like Berlin and Munich, buses, trams and trains are all integrated into one convenient service that you can buy a day pass for.

Some sections of the autobahn have no speed limits. Drive on the right-hand side, and in cities check you are allowed in the environmental zone.
